This gathering allows men an opportunity to do fiber crafts in the company of other men in a serene and beautiful location in Upstate New York. We will play with fiber at Easton Mountain, a retreat center nestled in the mountains northeast of Albany, New York.
While the event will focus primarily on handknitting, all related fibercrafters -- spinners, crocheters, embroiderers, etc. -- are welcome to join us.
The Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat (MSKR) weekend is
intended to be relaxed, educational and offering plenty of opportunities for
independent handwork, conversation, and general hangin’ out with like-minded
guys. Workshops on topics specific to men and knitting will be taught by members
of the group. Additionally, there will be time for activities such as showing
off your latest fiber creation, one-on-one tutoring in various fiber crafts,
walking around the Easton Mountain property, meditation, exercise and perhaps
even afternoon naps.
Attendees are welcome to bring their same-sex partners for a relaxing weekend get-away: a chance to catch up on reading, or reconnecting with nature and themselves.
