Falling In Love!
Every once in a while, my eye will be pulled in the direction of a new, white-hot love and my heart and body will eventually follow.
Or Perhaps It’s Just the Fever
Knitting Fever (or KFI if you prefer) is distributing a line of Juniper Moon yarns in some of the most spectacular colorways and they have truly captured my heart.
Go to their web site to see all of them…I couldn’t even get them all into a single screen capture.
They recently donated enough yarn so that all of the guys at the Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat in a few weeks will each get to play with one of the following five rich colors of Moonshine.
Moonshine is a worsted weight yarn made up of 40% Wool, 40% Alpaca and 20% Silk and I love everything about this yarn. They also sent some DK weight baby alpaca yarn called Herriot which is truly stunning as well.
I am very grateful for companies like Knitting Fever who help support the experience the guys have of communing with other fiber-men with gorgeous colors and fibers like Moonshine Yarn. If you’d like to support the Men’s Knitting Retreats, check out any of KFI’s yarns at your local yarn store and make sure you ask them if they have Moonshine…you’ll definitely want to fondle this amazing yarn and take some home for a special project.

Moving right along on the Briar Rose Pullover.
You’ll notice that the center section of the front looks like plain stockinette…this will make up the center panel that I will split a little further up…something like this:
I’m hopeful that the slipped columns of stitches on the revers of this (which mimics the public-facing side of the body) will keep the slit collar sections from curling…we’ll see how it goes!
