A Good Omen
It seemed like this day would never come. The day I would return to a Men’s Knitting Retreat and be with my tribe. But everything seems to be a good omen. So far.
Please Let It Be A Good Omen
I honestly thought this day would never come. It seemed like I was going to have to wait until September before I would be amongst my men’s Knitting Retreat family.
Someone in a recent zoom meet up who is going to be at the retreat made a comment that surprised me. He said “I’ll believe it when I’m there.” I knew what he meant exactly. COVID has taken a lot away from me. Including my optimism it seems. It didn’t occur to me until he said it. But I really did have a bit of anxiety that something would happen that would prevent me from making it to the 2021 Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat.
So far, so good. All is packed. And I feel confident that I have remembered to bring the important stuff. We’ll see once I’ve gotten there. But I’m cautiously optimistic.
I’ll check in tomorrow (at the latest) to let you know I made it back to Xanadu.
Current Knitting
I finished the color work on the Provenance Mitts.
Now I just need to do the ribbing at the top and these beauties are ready for Show & Tell later this week.
So happy for you and all those who will be at the retreat!
Tons of best wishes!
I am so glad you are excited about the retreat. You know and trust your knitting compadres. Good. I trust mine, but I do not want to rely on shoppers in big stores and will continue to wear mine in those situation. Have fun!
Sending you thoughts of hugs, good jokes, bad puns. Late nights and everything else for an epic reunion weekend! I’m praying each guest comes away refreshed and reincorporated-ready to return from Mecca stronger than when he arrived.
Photos always welcome—tease me. Make me ugly jealous.
