Back To Routine
With the two craft shows behind me, there is a lot to do. So, some semblance of getting back to routine would be helpful.
Are The Holidays A Time To Get Back To Routine?
I don’t think there’s ever a “normal” time. There’s always something that just doesn’t perfectly fit into the regular schedule.
So, I’m always up for adapting.
Finn prefers routine. He’s not overly good at adapting, despite the fact that he has no choice. But clearly his motto is “Change is bad.” He notices when I get up early to prepare for a show. When I drag up bins and crates of items to load into my car. Even when I try to keep a normal routine of brushing him with my morning latte, he knows that something is amiss.
Anyway, I need to get back to the world now.
I’m working on two knitting projects (see Current Knitting below).
I have to start re-stocking my craft show inventory since I sold over half my items.
Holiday shopping and scheduling of events needs to take place.
Biking continues despite the cold weather.
House cleaning is one of my chores, so back to that too.
And sometimes cooking.
Of course, blogging is back on schedule.
Life goes on and I’m physically over all the craft show changes to my body. I mean just standing for 7 hours is exhausting when I’m not used to it. Plus lack of sleep. And a weird eating schedule.
QueerJoe is back to normal for all of you who are less than comfortable with change. Like Finn.
This beauty came back to me from a customer for repairs.
It had three holes. All in the first 10 rows of knitting.
I’m assuming they’re moth holes that happened after the garment was knit (since both the black and the blue yarn were eaten through). I told the person I’d try and fix it like new for them.
So I’ve ripped out the first 9 or 10 rows and will re-knit it back as best I can.
I had also started a horizontal striped garter scarf before the craft show and I’ve made some progress.
It will go into inventory shortly. So I’m already working back to my list of to-dos.
What have you got going?
