Time For A Check-Up
I had found a window within COVID flare-ups to see my doctor in April of 2021 for an annual physical. So it was time for a check-up.
I Don’t Sweat It When It’s Time For A Check-Up
Yes, I’ve recently been through some issues with kidney stones. But they seem to be all cleared up (thanks to a really good urologist). I’ll know for certain in a few weeks after a final CT Scan.
But for the most part, I feel pretty healthy. I was going to qualify that with “…for someone my age” but honestly, I feel pretty healthy…period.
I was also assigned a new primary-care physician who I’d never met until yesterday. This is my third physician who’s been assigned to me in the last seven years. The first one was amazing. The second one was okay. And this latest doctor is fantastic. I’m quite pleased with how engaged she was with my state of health. I loved that she wasn’t afraid to ask questions about issues of men my age (any falling?…any swollen ankles?…any difficulty getting around, etc.).
I also really like her philosophy on tests and treatment.
She also has a seven-year-old son who’s into knitting.

Overall, a clean bill of health for another year. Hopefully this physician will still be there when I go back.
Current Knitting/Crochet
I finished the fourth pair of Rose’s Fingerless Mitts since Wednesday.

The pair at the bottom is the last pair I just finished. And this photo also shows how I package the mitts for craft shows. There will also be a small brass safety pin at the bottom of each with a small size tag attached. It tells customers the size of the gloves and keeps the two mitts together as a pair.
I also got some work finished on the latest Crochet Thermal Stitch Beanie.

I was going to finish this hat first, but I realized I might want to put a stripe of the yarn I’m using for the fingerless mitts in the hat and use it as an edging. But I had to make sure I’d have enough.
Which I don’t, so I’m glad I finished the mitts first.
Hooray! Glad to hear you’re doing well!
The band you place on the packaged mitts has a great old-timey look to it. Well done, sir! Congrautulations on a clean bill of health. Cheers to you!
Wonderful health news. Best wishes! And your mitts look great!
