Overlapping Joy

There’s a one or two-week timeframe where I have the opportunity for overlapping joy. As do some of guys who attend both North East retreats.

Guys’ Opportunity For Overlapping Joy

Many blog readers have gotten used to the rhythm of the Men’s Knitting Retreats. I’ve documented them a lot here over the years. But what you may have missed is how each year, for about two weeks, I get to enjoy two overlapping retreats.

Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat (MSKR)

This retreat is always scheduled for the third weekend in May. I’ve been frantically (and joyfully) preparing for this upcoming retreat for the last five months. Each year I love the anticipation and all that goes into it.

NorthEast Men’s Fall Knitting Retreat (NEMFKR)

This retreat is scheduled for the third weekend in September. But registration opens the second Saturday in May each year. So I get to have full week of overlap between the two events. And there’s a bit of preparation that goes into opening up registration each year, so it’s more than just one week.

It is an amazing time of great joy for me. The excitement and joy and love is so amazing.

If you know anyone interested in either of the retreats, send them here – https://mensknittingretreat.com/mens-knitting-retreat-scheduled-events/ . Or have them contact me directly. I never get tired of discussing these events with any guys who are interested.

Current Knitting

I’ve completed about 25″ on the slip-stitch blanket. So, I did put in a bit more work since Monday.

It’s looking fantastic, but I’m honestly not sure if I’ll finish even one blanket on time for donating this to Easton Mountain in two weeks. Fortunately, I have lots of other options for donations.
