Abandoned Projects
I’ve always prided myself on my perseverance. Especially when it comes to knitting. But over the years, I have had some abandoned projects.
Abandoned Projects Corner
LauraRose commented on my last blog entry:
“Congratulations on finishing that shawl! Excellent perserverence. If it was me it would be stuffed in a bag and then stuffed in my “wip” box where things go to slowly degrade. I bet you don’t even have one of those. If you do, bet I’m not the only one who would love a post about it!“
Technically, I don’t think I’ve ever abandoned a knitting project. And I only have one project that will move into that category when I die. Until then, I still hold out hope I’ll get back to it (knowing I never will).
Yes, it’s the hexapuff blanket. I don’t enjoy making this at all. I don’t like the look of it. And I will never unravel it because the whole purpose was to use up scraps. In all likelihood, a community of moths has probably invaded this project by now. I haven’t checked in a long time.
Current Knitting
I did absolutely no knitting while I was visiting my mom. I didn’t even take it out of the bag. Although I did do a little work last night after I got back from seeing her.

I have turned the heel on the second sock.
I had a nice time with my mom and I’m glad to be back home.

😂 glad I read this. Make some of us feel a lot better. Yeah, the hexapuff looks a little painful. You were definitely significantly younger in that video. Maybe you could just refashion what you have into a small rectangle and call it a cat bed for Finn.
I have quite a few WIP’s in time out. My oldest WIP dates from 1977 (twin blanket, crochet, stripes of spike stitch) and I’m determined to finish it someday!
Agree about Hexipuff. I made 3 and said uh-uh. Scrap sock yarn hasn’t gone to waste though. Just finished Northeasterly, and very pleased with it. Sadly, there are many projects in time out that will probably get ripped out..
