The Cleanup
It was a bit surprising how busy I was at this latest retreat at Easton Mountain. So busy, that I have more to do in the cleanup afterward than I expected.
The Cleanup Afterward
After each of my Men’s Knitting Retreats, there is a cleanup and reorganization that I need to do. And I expected to have some cleanup after the Gay Spirit Camp last week. But not quite as much as I do.
I completely misunderestimated how much personal time I’d have at this past retreat. I brought some extra yarn and knitting paraphernalia in case someone expressed interest in learning to knit. But with two workshops, presenting my book and daily responsibilities as a small group facilitator, I had very little personal time.
The personal time I did have, I used to do yoga each morning, socialize and meet new guys and get some sun at the pool.
So all the knitting supplies and the leftover workshop materials will now have to be organized and put into my stash “system” at home.
Current Knitting
Despite still being busy at home, I have started to knit again.

Yes, I’m easing myself back into knitting with the simplest of projects. I re-started the helical-striped sock from over a month ago. And even with a simple project, I had to turn the heel, rip it out and re-turn the heel. But I’m glad I did. I figured out a new way of rounding the heel in a way I like very much.
