Good Model
This past week, I got to visit a lot of family and give away all of the Bindle Hats and some other knitwear. I also found a good model.
Good Model For Knitwear
My nephew Jake has the opposite effect that I do with hats. He makes them look good when he wears them.

Given that he lives in New England, the thick, plushy Bindle Hat was a perfect choice in every way. Warm, colorful and well-fitting, the hat works on many levels.
Over this past week, I ended up giving away eight Bindle hats, a pair of fingerless gloves, and two shawls. I also got to see my mom, and my two sisters and their families. All eight Bindle Hats looked good (if I do say so myself) on their recipients. A very satisfying project that I highly recommend.
Current Knitting
I had to put the striped pullover project aside again. Turns out that the fingerless gloves I gave away had some issues. They were falling apart. Despite trying to mend one issue, they seemed to have other issues as well. I’m knitting the recipient a new pair.

I think I’m going to have to make another garter-striped scarf as well. I gifted one a month ago and it got some admiration from a co-worker. Both projects are relatively quick knits, so I should be back to the pullover in the next week or two.

What a good looking model!! ❤️
Agreed!
Yeah. I’m pretty sure he could make just about anything look good. And you do not make hats look BAD. You just make hats look like hats being worn by a frankly pretty decent looking retired guy instead of looking like hats being worn by some New England Strapping Young Man who will probably be wearing that out on his Lobster Boat or yo in the roof as he repairs his neighbor’s leak in the inclement weather of the day.
Those hats are probably too warm for here in the Willamette Valley, but maybe I’ll try one for the homeless hat drive my friends does someday.
If folks knit the Bindle or any other hat to donate to a great cause, please consider https://www.knittherainbow.org/ The organization supplies hats, scarves, and gloves to LGBTQ young folks who are in need.
He’s likely a good model for anything!!! Look at the pose!
