It’s always an exciting time when retreat season opens. In a couple of weeks, we open registration for the 2026 Men’s Spring Knitting Retreat.

2026 Men’s Knitting Retreat Season Open

Technically the season has been open for a while. The Rocky Mountain Men’s Knitting Retreat is in February, and the registration sold out quickly this year. The Southern France Men’s Knitting Retreat scheduled June has also been sold out for a while now. While registration for MSKR is the first time attendees get to interact with the May retreat, Derek and I have been busy for a while now.

But I always officially consider the first Saturday of the year to be the start of the May retreat.

If you know any guys who would fit in with a most amazing group, let them know registration open for the May retreat on Satuday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 am (Eastern U.S./Canada time). You might also want to let them know it sells out pretty quickly.

The blog post about the afterlife brought out a couple of trolls. One even posted a comment as if they were LauraRose (I think that’s what happened).

I won’t publish these comments because they’re sole intent is to insult. And I can’t tell if Robert Logan is a BOT or not. And the person posting as LauraRose used an email address that isn’t our LauraRose’s.

Current Knitting

Last night I finished knitting the second fingerless glove an started to weave in the dozens of yarn-ends. But I didn’t quite finish finishing.

I really did want to get these out in the mail today, so I decided to finish them before blogging today.

I remember a blog reader asking me if I’d start to make these again for selling at craft shows. I remember why that was a hard “no” after all the fiddlyness of the knitting and finishing. I’m happy to knit them for people I love, but not for selling them.
