Cold Feet
In a house filled with an unimaginable number of pairs of hand-knit and hand-cranked socks that I would have cold feet.
A Cure For Cold Feet
I was walking around the house yesterday in a pair of white, cotton, athletic crew socks from Costco. I was doing a lot of work in the basement. I noticed my feet were cold. I just ignored it. I was busy. After midday dinner, I was lying down for a nap and my feet were still cold. I thought, “This is ridiculous!” and went upstairs to find a pair of warmer socks.
I found the pair of slipper-socks in the feature photo today and put them on over my cotton socks. My feet were instantly warmer.
It occurred to me that over ten years ago I wrote up a free pattern for these slipper socks and it is probably my most under-appreciated design.

Years ago I saw a Pinterest item that piqued my curiosity.

Such a simple idea, I blogged that I could bang out a pair of these in no time. So I did.
I need to go back and revisit this design. Even I have under-appreciated it all these years. And we all know, there is NO good reason for not having warm, cozy feet in my house!
Current Knitting
Made a modicum of progress on the second sleeve.

Yes, it’s almost finished. I’m starting to think that the finishing of the sweater will take longer than knitting both sleeves combined.

I have developed arthritis in my left thumb and have basically given up knitting. I can go for a few minutes and then the pain stops me. BUT. I think if I can stop when the hurt starts and then wait a bit, I might be able to knit these cold feet fighters. Because I too have cold feet in my house. So, THANK YOU and I will let you know how it goes.
