Spam Free iPhone?!?!
Cellular and internet technology are filled with pesky annoyances that I usually just end up getting used to. But I’m hopeful to have a spam free iphone!
Phone Call Only – Spam Free iPhone
It’s always annoyed the hell out of me that cellular providers allow people to spoof their incoming phone numbers to make it look like it’s a local call. There are some valid reasons why you’d want to have a different number display than the number you’re calling from. Perhaps it’s impossible to allow valid companies the ability to disguise their number and disallow spammers from doing the same. So I’ve ended up loading any number I might want to answer into my contacts and never pick up non-contact phone calls.
Finally a possible solution!
Thaddeus, the Luddite of cell phones, just alerted me about a new feature on IOS 26 that will screen calls from phone numbers that aren’t in my contacts!
Anyone know of any similar functionality on non-Apple phones?
If I could only get rid of pesky blog commenters as easily. Although, to be truthful, my ability to disallow spam is a lot easier here at QueerJoe.
Current Knitting
I finished the second sleeve of the Murky Depths Striped Pullover and picked up stitches for the collar.

Apologies for the shitty photos. I was only able to do a light steam blocking on one of the sleeves, so they look a bit different. Trying to lay out the body of the sweater in an attractive way was more work than I cared to put into it. But I’m still convinced the result will be beautiful.

I get between 6 and 8 spam calls a day and I’ve started letting them ring out( we don’t have voice mail on any phone) and it seems to be a little better. This way the spammers don’t know if they have a live line. That’s what Bell told me.
