Shopping Stash
It’s a creative and interesting expression, “shopping stash,” no? Lately, I’ve been rummaging through mine to find inspiration.
Shopping Stash and Just Plain Shopping
If you follow my social media posts, I’m participating in a posting challenge called #FiberuaryChallenge. For the last few years, Deirdre has been posting a daily lists of prompts for each day in February.

For the sixth day, I was rummaging through my stash of yarns, looking for yarns I had from Sassy Black Yarns. I also found some beautiful yarn from James in New Zealand.

I always love working with James’ sock yarns, so I pulled this one out, and picked a bland yarn to go with it (Jaeger Baby Merino). See below the project I started with these two yarns.
Looking through my already-owned yarns hasn’t stopped me from purchasing more yarn, although I have slowed down in the last year or so. And more importantly, I’ve gotten more choosey about what yarns I purchase. I only write this because I have a yarn delivery coming today in the mail.
Current Knitting Crochet
I finished the third Melting the ICE Hat.

I also realized I never showed an image of the completed second hat (with tassel braided). So here are some photos of both.

I made the tassel somewhat short in the first one and very long in the second one. I honestly like both.
I also started a new thermal crochet hat using James’ sock yarn from Joy of Yarn.

The reverse side is all just the purples colorway with no beige stripes. As I progress on the hat, I’ll show you both sides. But I’m loving it so far.
