The only problem I had when I purchased the neon Hobbii sock yarn a while ago was that I wished I had purchased some of the neon pink yarn too.

More Neon Hobbii Sock Yarn

I have a ton of neon-pink yarn in my stash but none of it is sock-weight yarn. When I bought three colors of neon sock yarn (orange, yellow and green), I found I wanted to add pink into the mix a few different times. So I placed another order. In addition to the pink, I also purchased a charcoal sock yarn that I will probably end up using for contrasting toes and heels on my CSM socks.

The CSM sock will be my first order of business with the new color. I plan on making fourth pair of neon socks for myself so I’ll have a pair in all four colors. But I also have a design idea for an intarsia version of the crochet thermal stitch hat. I’m not sure if it will work, but I thought it would be fun to experiment with.

I have two other small projects to finish before I get to that.

Current Knitting

I was able to finish the last Melt the ICE Hat this past Friday in time for a friend’s visit.

It’s the hat on the left in the image. I was glad to have another option to offer her, especially since it was the hat she ended up going with. It looked great on her and she was thrilled with it.

With that finished, I also made some progress with my latest crochet thermal stitch hat.

Initially, I was breaking off the beige yarn after each stripe, but I realized I could carry it down the seam without it showing very much. I’ll be glad to have a lot fewer ends to weave in.

Compared to the finished neon hat, you can see I have about 10 more double rounds to complete the hat.
