So Gay
Depending on who’s saying it, the expression “So gay!” can be either derogatory or incredibly complimentary. You know which way I mean it.
So Gay – So Fabulous!
I don’t do a lot of rainbow in my life. I no longer have any rainbow clothes and any rainbow jewelry I might own hasn’t been worn in decades.
But I very much appreciate the rainbow as a symbol. The original rainbow flag was designed and created by Gilbert Baker, a San Francisco-based artist. And despite what some ignorant folks have been spewing lately, the original rainbow flag was comprised of eight colorful stripes Each color represented a specific meaning: hot pink for sexuality, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sun, green for nature, turquoise for art, indigo for harmony, and violet for human spirit.
Eventually, hot pink was left off of the rainbow flag. The hot pink colored fabric was a bit more difficult to find for people making the flag. And more recently, different inclusive versions of the flag have been designed and created.

Whatever color or design pride comes in, I’m all for it!
Current Crochet
I was able to finish the re-do of the Thermal Crochet Beanie in rainbow/orange colorways.

Overall, I’m quite glad to have ripped out the last version. Here’s a close-up of the seam of the hat now.

Yes, its noticeable. But it doesn’t look sloppy like it did.
I didn’t have enough of these two yarns to do another full-size thermal crochet beanie. So I started work on a new one using some left over yarns.

Blue and gray might be a lot more boring than rainbow/orange. But I’m enjoying the process none the less.
