Truthfully I’m not so ready. Logistically I have a few things to get done between now and the NorthEast Men’s Fiber Retreat in two weeks.

Emotionally – So Ready

I used to think that part of the excitement of going to a Men’s Knitting Retreat was that I’d be away from work for a while. And there was some relief regarding that aspect of getting away. But as a retiree, I can only say that it was a very minor part of the excitement.

A much bigger part of the anticipation is being back at Easton Mountain. It truly is a magical place for me. But by far the most exhilarating part of the upcoming retreat is being with my people. Registration filled up over three months ago, and I’ve been in contact with the guys quite a bit since then. Of the 36 guys attending this year, 8 of them are ramkins (baby rams or new to a Men’s Knitting Retreat at Easton Mountain).

I am incredibly grateful to have found a community that brings me so much joy. As the young’uns say (or used to say, at least), CFW!

Current Knitting

The second garter-stripe scarf is finished and ready to be donated.

Like the previous scarf using the yarn from CeCe’s Wools, it’s plush and thick and warm. And the colors are fantastic. Hopefully some Easton Mountain staff member or volunteer will get to enjoy its warmth and beauty this coming Winter.
