KeyHole Scarf - Midnight and Teal Mohair 07-10-26 01

Hypnosis

I have always been a good subject of hypnosis whenever I’ve been “hypnotized.” Years ago, I used a self-hypnosis smoking cessation audiotape to help me successfully quit.

Self-Hypnosis – Satisfaction, Abundance, Serenity, and Joy

Recently, I decided that I haven’t been focusing enough on the spiritual aspect of my life as much as I would like. I started to meditate again. There was an immediate and positive change in how I felt. Remembering back to the relaxation and positive impact of the hypnotic audio-tape, I decided to look for similar online audio. While I was able to find some apps for my phone, I wasn’t overly pleased with the quality and the content of much of what I listened to.

I wondered how difficult it would be to create one of my own. Turns out that it wasn’t that difficult. So I created an MP3 file with hypnotic relaxation and suggestions that were specific to what I was looking for. I’ve been listening to it regularly and find it both meditative and soothing.

I’m not sure if anyone else would find this useful but I’ve shared the file through SoundCloud.

It’s not perfect but it came out better than I expected.

Current Knitting/Spinning

I made significant progress on both spinning and knitting since Wednesday. First, I finished the midnight Merino and teal mohair/Romney bulky yarn.

I’ve been loving the process of spinning bulky, non-uniform yarn.

Despite what I expected, I finished the unicorn-colored keyhole scarf, and also knit and wet-blocked another with the latest spun bulky yarn.

Now I have a total of six keyhole scarves to offer my friend as a gift.

Hopefully she’ll like at least one of them.
