Retreat Recap
Twice a year, I spend seven days at Easton Mountain and the Men’s Knitting Retreats held there. Providing a retreat recap can be challenging.
My Best Efforts At A Retreat Recap
Officially, last week was the 2023 NorthEast Men’s Fall Knitting Retreat at Easton Mountain in Upstate NY. It technically started at 5:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 with a welcome reception on the back deck of the main lodge at Easton Mountain. For a number of years now, we’ve offered guys the opportunity to arrive for up to 3 early/extra days to enjoy the amenities and the beauty of Easton Mountain. I always take advantage of that opportunity.
Upon arrival, I always take the “Joe in front of the Easton Mountain” sign. Then I unload all the retreat stuff and settle in a nice place, like the sun-porch with a cup of coffee.
While the video montage and the photos don’t convey all the peace and joy and love that is Easton Mountain, it might give you a sense.
The Amazing Venue – Easton Mountain
Below is a video montage of all the photos I took of the venue where this amazing retreat takes place. I’ve include an image gallery with the same photos below it, in case you’d prefer to review them at your leisure with no music.

Current Knitting
I did do about 3 rows of knitting while I was at Easton, so I won’t be showing any here.
But in my defense, the weather was wonderful. The guys were even more amazing than usual. And I broke the crochet hook I was using for the short-sleeve shirt.
